Who We Are & What We Do

Helping children feel safe, seen, and supported

MaPanda is an interactive digital tool designed for organizations and institutions that work with children and already employ psychologists or mental health professionals. It supports the emotional well-being, creativity, and recovery of children aged 2 to 10 - through playful, neuro-informed sessions guided by a therapist who controls an animated avatar.

“Mark hadn’t spoken for days. But when the animated avatar from MaPanda asked: “What color is your day?”, he chose the rain cloud. They started drawing — first his fear, then a superpower animal. By the end of the session, he smiled and was engaged.”

Why MaPanda Makes a Difference

Children don’t need lectures to heal. They need connection, rhythm, and play.

MaPanda combines imaginative storytelling with emotional coaching — all guided by trained specialists and rooted in trauma-informed care. It helps kids regulate before they reflect. Feel before they speak.
Behind every session is cutting-edge child psychology: from the Polyvagal Theory to Dr. Bruce Perry’s trauma model.

What experts are saying about MaPanda

Psychologists & Play Therapists:

“MaPanda is an effective tool for working with children without psychiatric diagnoses, especially those experiencing anxiety, behavioral challenges, or social adaptation issues. The digital companion helps establish trust faster and makes emotional work more engaging. For some children, it can gently complement or even temporarily substitute adult interaction — making the process feel safer and more playful. Creative tools like drawing also support deeper reflection and expression.”
— Larysa, child psychologist (focus: fears, tics, behavioral challenges)

Psychologists & Play Therapists:

“With a psychologist’s guidance, MaPanda becomes a powerful tool for emotional education. Characters like Morkvynka — magical and playful, not adult — can model healthy behavior, support self-awareness, and explain complex topics like healthy eating. Because the character doesn’t feel like an adult, children may open up more easily and engage with emotional topics in a safer, more playful way.”
— Yuliia, child psychologist (focus: self-awareness, emotional development, eating disorders)

Psychologists & Play Therapists:

"I’ve used MaPanda with two of my clients ages 9 and 12, and both preferred it over our usual Google Meet sessions. They especially loved the character emotions, which we used for emotion identification. It made the sessions more engaging and fun, while still supporting meaningful therapeutic work. MaPanda is a thoughtfully designed tool that translates beautifully to virtual environments."
— Lauren, Mental Health Professional

Schools & SEL Programs

“Children today respond best to digital formats — that’s their language. A call with a magical character (animated avatar), guided by a trained professional, can be incredibly effective. Kids still believe in magic, even at ten. MaPanda fits perfectly into a school setting and makes emotional work more accessible through a familiar, engaging medium. It’s a flexible tool that aligns with modern educational needs — not a replacement for the psychologist, but a smart extension of their work.”
— Valeriia, school psychologist (focus: anxiety, bullying, self-esteem)

ABA & SEN Therapists

“MaPanda is a bright, beautifully designed solution that helps children develop emotional intelligence through play. I especially appreciate the expressive characters and emotional cues — they give us extra tools to explore feelings in a structured, engaging way. The quality of the content is impressive; it feels like using ready-made therapeutic mini-games. For specialists who work online, this format is both time-saving and professional. It’s a flexible tool that fits well into sessions with children who have mild developmental delays or sensory challenges.”
— Tatyana, neuropsychologist, speech therapist, sensory integration specialist (focus: speech delay, MMD, hyperactivity)

Ukraine Case with trauma children

Delivered in real-time by trained specialists
Focused on children aged 2 - 10, including vulnerable groups
Tools included interactive visuals, storytelling, drawing, and guided audio from an animated avatar

Why It works

MaPanda is designed in alignment with modern insights from neuroscience and trauma-informed education and tailored to the unique needs of Generation Alpha that we've been closely analyzing through our work with children

Neuroplasticity:

Children’s brains grow and adapt through repeated, safe emotional experiences. Therapist is enabled with MaPanda to create structured, playful interactions that help reinforce healthy patterns.

Regulation before cognition:

Before learning or behavior change. We prioritize safety, rhythm, and emotional connection.

Play is powerful:

Experts like Stuart Brown and Alison Gopnik show that play builds emotional resilience, creativity, and flexible thinking — all essential for healthy development.

Body-based calming.

Inspired by Polyvagal Theory, MaPanda helps children regulate emotions through breath, movement, and connection — even digitally, with the warm support of a magical companion.
We are currently collaborating with psychologists and researchers to further validate the solution’s design and impact.
